The Historic Huntsville Foundation is sponsoring the first annual
Spring Garden Tour of five private gardens in the heart of the Twickenham and Old Town historic districts on Saturday, June 7. Located on
Randolph Avenue and Calhoun Street, the featured gardens are in easy walking distance and offer a wonderful opportunity to enjoy our city's oldest historic districts in full bloom on a glorious late spring day.
There is a diverse group of gardens that will appeal to everyone - from the informal garden that peeks from behind a bungalow to the more formal, structured garden that graciously embraces a federal style home. Four of the gardens were designed by noted Huntsville artist and gardener Bill Nance. Bill designed many of the gardens featured in the HHF coffee table book,
Through the Garden Gate: The Gardens of Historic Huntsville and this tour is a rare opportunity to experience the work of a true master.
