Eating right and exercising are important to staying healthy. At the Saturday Scientist, kids learn the importance of staying healthy and ways to exercise and stay fit. Children discover the science of jumping rope and the exercises astronauts do to stay healthy in space.
Don't miss the second Saturday of each month at 11:30 a.m. for the Saturday Scientist series, an educational series featuring activities recommended for ages 6-9.
This monthly hands-on activity is included with museum membership or paid admission and emphasizes the development of "STEAM" (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). This series includes exciting topics like solar energy, precipitation, geology of space and chemistry.
