Verizon Brings 1,300 Jobs To Huntsville
1,300 new jobs will be created when
Verizon Wireless complete it's new 152,000 square foot Alabama headquarters and customer service center. The $44 million project is to be built ain Thornton Research Park and is scheduled for completion in late 2007.
"This is a huge investment that's going to make a difference," said Gov. Bob Riley, who made the announcement Thursday at the Von Braun Center, standing in front of a blue and white sign with "1,300 New Jobs" stamped across it. "It's going to improve on (the community's) quality of life."
