Madison County NW
Madison County NW is located just north of all the conveniences of Huntsville North and borders the Tennessee state line.
A community that, at one time, depended solely on farming cotton and soybeans is now welcoming more subdivisions that provide very affordable housing options.
Shopping, Dining and Entertainment
Encompassing the small towns of Meridianville, Hazel Green, and Toney, Madison County NW offers little in the way of "big City" entertainment. It is home to popular Colonial Golf and Country Club. It is a rural community with its' own quaint shops and businesses. Don't look for fancy restaurants with cloth napkins and candlelight. Instead, look for local fare such as Posey's restaurant located on HWY 231 and popular fast food chains. This area is a short 10 minute drive to Huntsville North's Lowe's, Super Wal-Mart, and many other popular shops and restaurants.
Oh, the country life. Madison County NW offers all that city dwellers only dream about. Mini farms, as well as, large cotton, cattle, and horse farms abound. In addition to these pieces of paradise, there are subdivisions sprouting up in various parts of its' communities with large lots and acreage that are rarely found within city limits.
The area is part of the Madison County School system There are several Elementary and Middle schools that feed these communities such as Madison County Elementary, Meridianville Middle, and Sparkman Middle. There are two High Schools, as well, Sparkman High School and Hazel Green High School, with beautiful, sprawling campuses.
